Mount Seorak National Park (雪狱山国家公园):
One of the most beautiful national park in Korea with its granite peaks, lush green valleys and dense forests. The park is divided into inner and outer Seorak.
It was named Seorak (Snowy Crags Mountain) as the snow would not melt for a long time keeping the rocks in a permanent state of white.
In November 1965, the Seorak Mountain district was designated as a National Monument preservation area.
A cable car ride will stop at Gwongeumseong (权金城堡垒) - an old mountain top fortress of the Silla (新罗) kingdom.

Its Daechongbong Peak (大青峰) towers at 1708 m
